The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has published guidance documents for the implementation of Food Safety Modernization Act.

The documents are:

  • Guidance for Industry: Low-Acid Foods Packaged in Hermetically Sealed Containers (LACF)
    • This guide provides the requirements that manufacturers of low-acid canned foods must meet in relation to FDA Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA).
  • Guidance for Industry: Seafood HACCP 
    • This guide provides the requirements that manufacturers of seafood must meet in relation to FDA Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA).
  • Guidance for Industry: Juice HACCP 
    • This guide provides the requirements that manufacturers of juice products must meet in relation to FDA Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA).

All documents were released on August 7, 2017.
